ANZAC biscuit

In literacy we have been learning about ANZAC. Today we made ANZAC biscuit. In 1921 the recipe first in a cook book. Mum, Wives and children made the biscuits. Some were sent to soldiers and most of them were sold at fetes to raise money for the war. They raised 6.5 million pounds for the New Zealand war effort.  These biscuits made of sugar, flour, rolled oats, so they do not go off.

  1. Hello Angus,
I hope that those biscuits tasted nice. Also I like the information that you have collected.
Next time you could write why you wanted to make the biscuits.

    Kind Regards
